Wild seal goes viral after photos show it begging for fish in England







Thats one way to get attention. A wild seal was spotted off the coast of England begging tourists for food, British news agency SWNS reports. The seal, known as Ronnie by locals, has spent the better part of the past week hanging near the small naval port atDartmouth, Devon, England. STUNNING IMAGES SHOW CHEETAH CUBS PLAYING WITH IMPALA CALFIn the pictures, the seal is seen picking its head above the water as it goes towardthe shore.  Its also seen waiting for fishermen to throw it some fish in hopes of getting a snack or two. The River Dart is home to a high number of animals, including birds, dolphins, oysters and seals, according to a Dartmouth-centric tourist website. The seals hang out at several points in Dartmouth, looking for a place to catch fish, relax and "sunbathe," the website adds. A grey seal swam up to an NHS doctor and patted him on his headnear the Farne Islands during October 2019, Fox News recently reported. GET THE FOX NEWS APP

D.   Forget about everything else for a moment and take a look at this:The retired No.  8, worn in this city by Roger Maris, Fargos revered son, on the facade over first base.  The red-white-and-blue bunting draped over the railings.  The ballplayers warming up down the foul lines. The people are finding their seats, and somewhere the big red mascot is getting ready.  Any minute now the umpires will arrive, fully dressed and carrying their baseballs and walking straight from the parking lot to the field. It came late, but here it is: opening day. The last time the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks played a game was in September.

He is being held in retaliation for his protected speech, including drafting a book manuscript that is critical of the Presidentand recently making public his intention to publish that book soon, shortly before the upcoming election, the petition read. Cohen, President Trumps former personal attorney,was ordered into custody earlier this monthafter reports said thathe failed to agree to the terms of Federal Location Monitoring in Manhattan.  The New York Post obtainedphotos of Cohen at a New York City restaurant.  A source told the paper, That dinner caught the eye of those at the Bureau of Prisons who feel he was released on furlough only due to the coronavirus situation but is acting like hes a free man and not out under supervision. "Cohens lawyers refuted the claim and said Cohentookissue with a condition of his home confinement that forbid him from speaking with the media and publishing a tell-all book he began working on in federal prison.  The rules also prohibited him from posting on social media, the records show. The lawyers filed a Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus, which is employed when attorneys seek to challenge whether a prisoners detainment is lawful.  The petition said that Cohen is currently being held in solitary confinement at the Federal Correctional Institution in Otisville, N. Y. The Department of Justice did not immediately respond to a Fox News inquiry. Cohens campaign finance charges related to his efforts to arrange payouts during the 2016 presidential race to keep the porn actress Stormy Daniels and model Karen McDougal from airing claims of extramarital affairs with Trump.  Trump has denied the affairs. Amazon boss Bezos launches $10 bn fund to combat climate change - Times ...







NEW YORK: Amazon founder Jeff Bezossaid Monday that he plans to spend $10 billion of his own fortune to help fight climate changeBezos, the worlds richest man, said in an Instagram post that hell start giving grants this summer to scientists, activists and nonprofits working to protect the earth. "I want to work alongside others both to amplify known ways and to explore new ways of fighting the devastating impact of climate change, Bezos said in the post. Amazon, the company Bezos runs, has an enormous carbon foodprint.  Last year, Amazon officials said the company would work to have 100% of its energy use come from solar panels and other renewable energy by 2030. The online retailer relies on fossil fuels to power planes, trucks and vans in order to ship billions of items all around the world.  Amazon workers in its Seattle headquarters have been vocal in criticizing some of the companys practices, pushing it to do more to combat climate change. Bezos said in the post Monday that he will call his new initiative the Bezos Earth Fund.  An Amazon spokesman confirmed that Bezos will be using his own money for the fund. Despite being among the richest people in the world, Bezos only recently became active in donating money to causes as other billionaires like Bill Gates and Warren Buffetthave done.  In 2018, Bezos started another fund, committing $2 billion of his own money to open preschools in low-income neighborhoods and give money to nonprofits that help homeless families. Bezos, who founded Amazon 25 years ago, has a stake in the company that is worth more than $100 billion.

A judge on Monday refused to free a Michigan teenager who was incarcerated in May after she allegedly violated probation byfailing to finish heronline schoolwork, according to a report. Judge Mary Ellen Brennan,the presiding judge of the Oakland County Family Court Division, said the girl, identified as Grace, will benefit from ongoing treatment at a Detroit areajuvenile detention centerand was not yet ready to return to her mother. I think you are exactly where you are supposed to be, Brennan told Grace, her middle name, according to the ProPublica report on Monday.  You are blooming there, but there is more work to be done. MICHIGAN GIRL SENT TO JUVENILE DETENTION FOR NOT DOING ONLINE SCHOOLWORK: REPORTGrace was previously placed on probation after an allegedfight with her mother and for thefts at school, the report said. Police had been called to the familys home in the past.  She has been in custody at Childrens Village juvenile detention centerfor more than two months now after Brennan ruled she violated her probation on May 14 -- because one of the terms was completing her online coursework amid thecoronavirus pandemic, according to ProPublica last Tuesday. Grace has ADHD, a learning disorder that she said causedher to feel unmotivated and overwhelmed while online learning, the report said. She was not detained because she didnt turn her homework in, Brennan said during the hearing on Monday.  She was detained because I found her to be a threat of harm to her mother based on everything I knew. The case sparked several protests last week, with Michigan state and federal lawmakers calling for Graces release. Hundreds of Detroit-area students protestedoutside their high school Thursday while holding "Free Grace" signs.
